Who remembers attending Basingstoke RNA for the annual tot night “do”?

We would attend in rig and usually get wrecked somewhat!  My first experience was Aug 4th 1984 when a group of us went up from Wessex and had a great time. I can remember certain people getting very wrecked (names not mentioned, you know who you are!) and arriving back in Southampton early hours next morning and having to walk home in Nos.1’s.

  1. I do, and a certain leading seaman used to pop up out of a coffin saying …..up spirits… as for the drunken bit you speak for yourself Simon Dungey …..Jock Steele

    • I do, I’ve carried the coffin and been in it but that was before I moved to within half a mile south of Hadrian’s Wall.
Biscuit and I piped the skipper aboard on the official opening as we were members.
